Was told that this was a lighter than normal Syrah, and that is correct. Deep ruby, but still opaque color. Not heavy nose, light fig/cherry and chocolate. First sip, smooth and heavy darker fruit, but spice and cherries on back side, with lingering currant finish - definitely some tannins. Got lighter after 30 mins of decanting. Much more of brighter red fruit and tannins after time.

Dark purple. almost opaque. Dark flavor profile and smelled of fig/and current. This was a strong Syrah, that opened up over two plus hours. Still the tannis were present and flavor profile did not loosen up. I am wondering if there was alot of petit Syrah in this. Good but not something to drink everyday.
