Translucent, slightly maroon cherry color with a hint of haziness. Understated, slightly muted and a bit matured nose of sour cherry, fig, some leather and faint hints of savory wood. Quite light-bodied, juicy and acid-driven palate with pronounced tannins. Battle of the Sexes: Female vs. Male Winemakers (Farpointe Cellar) : Sour cherry on the nose, plus cedar and spice underneath, and a hint of perfume and rose petals at the end. Very fruit on the palate, but with a nice earth backbone. The finish was all flowers and perfume.
