Mitchell, Cabernet Sauvignon Sevenhill, Clare Valley

Have held this bottle since release and as such it was opened with some trepidation (original cellaring conditions were stable but a touch warm). Poured straight from the bottle with no decant to see a wine showing deep red in the glass with a touch of red brick on the rim - so far so good - moving onto a deep black fruited nose with touches of blackcurrant cassis, black plums, savoury earthy spice and some minty herbaceous notes.
