Premi�re d�gustation de ce c�page phare en Argentine. La robe est profonde, violine, les fruits noirs dominent mais le poivre noir est bien l� aussi. L'�levage en cuve laisse place � ces ar�mes primaires, et appelle une cuisine assez simple. Le seul b�mol est l'alcool �lev� (14%) que l'on sent et qui peut g�ner la d�gustation prolong�e.

Unusual nose - could almost pass for Armagnac but there's some black pepper too. Palate is overripe with prune and stewed plums but there's decent lift to the finish. Ok, but I don't think I could manage more than a glass.

Red fruit, red licorice. Bright and tangy aromas. No oak.

Dark and tarry for sure. Probably some brambleberry in there somewhere, but I had a hard time finding it.

Darn, this is really good. Great tactile mouthfeel, lingering, somewhat agressive tannins, touch of barnyard on the back, and lingering. Great fruit up front oo.

Blackberry, tobacco, earth, ink, plum, and a little black cherry on the nose. Blackberry, earth, spice, and tart cherry on the palate. Fleshy fruit and strong acidity. Not much of finish to speak of. Good but simple. On day 2 it picked up a bitter edge.
