Château Gigognan Côtes du Rhône Villages Bois des Moines

Yum. This is a nice change from New World wines and the associated heaviness. This carries respectable fruit but is not overwhelming. Also picked up hits of mocha.

50% Mourvedre gave this nice flavor. Subtlely powerful, the fruit wasn't overwhelming nor too fruity. This was one of the better Old World wines that I've had, noting that I have a strong preferance for New World styles and flavors.
