Must have been stored improperly by the distributor or retailer because it was a bad bottle. One glass and poured out. Sweet syrupy mess.

To be honest, I was a bit hesitant to open this chardonnay with friends because of it's age (6 years). But boy, was I pleasantly surprised. So rich and creamy. I'm not usually a chardonnay fan, but this was one of the best I've had. Very smooth and light tannins.

I mostly drink reds so I don't really have a lot of knowledge of how to describe whites. I like this. Not too sweet. Oakey. Tasty. Buttery with very light tannins.
