Subdued nose overall. A bit of smoke, some spices, and a hint of dried raspberries. Acidity has held up nicely. Darker fruit flavors--plum, blackberry. Short finish. Quite food friendly and better with a few years in the bottle.

Pencil lead, cedar, and earth aromas, with a hint of fruit. Pretty smooth with a good acidic backbone. Well balanced with some dried strawberry and oaky flavors. Long, warming finish.

Doesn't taste like sangiovese. I suppose if you need a line extension this is a "clever" thing to do in Walla Walla.
