Klasse. Jetzt sehr schön zu trinken.

Paired with an Orloff pork roast. No evolution in the hue. Open nose with herbal and green flavors dominating a bit of grapefruit, maracuja and spices. Nice texture under the palate, with tension and a lean body carrying similar flavors of the nose. Good acidity and medium length without wood impact. Elegant, delicate while still substantial, PQR is favorable and it worked well with the pairing.

Color: Light to medium yellow. No signs of aging. Nose: Typical. Wet stone. There is a sea breeze aspect, too. Like crushed mussel shells. Bee wax. Underneath some pineapple. Mouth: Lean and fresh. Very juicy. It has quite some oomph. Excellent expression and length. A hint of Indian curry powder. Grapefruit in the finish. Bone-dry at 12.5% alc.

PnP. On the nose white blossom, white and yellow stone fruit and a suggestion of petrol, similar as the last bottle 15months ago, but on the palate the sweetness is gone, still with good freshness but less charming now, not that it would be unpleasant, but something is missing, hope it is just an in between phase and will be better again in a couple of years.

Fine showing but not so memorable. Happy to have tried it in this vintage, but no need to source more. 12,5% abv. At $30, a bit expensive for what it is. Drink now.

Apricot on the nose, dry finish with good acidity. Not a big finish but lots of apple and pear notes. Outstanding quality for the price

Made exclusively with the grapes sourced from the larger Brauneberger Juffer (75%) and the smaller Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr (25%) vineyards. 12,5% alcohol. Deep, concentrated neon yellow-green color. The nose feels youthful, fragrant and quite intense with almost primary aromas of ripe lemony citrus fruits and sour apple candies, some floral nuances, a little bit of crunchy quince, light steely tones, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of sweet, grapey fruit. The wine feels clean, firm and well-delineated on the …

This is a beautiful dry Riesling. Classic petrol aromas, lemon zest, and peach. The wine has great richness without being heavy on the palate. The acidity is high, but in balance thanks to the concentration and slate mineral influence. Long finish and was just as good on day two! Excited to see how this wine evolves over the next few years.

Brauneberger J trocken 12.5% Nose of lime, white flowers, peach, and hint of petrol. Palate has energetic acid notes - slight tingle. Citrus up front that spreads out into stone fruit, agree with the prior note that mentioned a yeast note. Clean, slightly sweet, but mostly dry and short finish. Nothing mind blowing, but a very classically styled Riesling. For $19.99 I would buy again.

Riesling from Brauneberger Juffer und Juffer Sonnenuhr, vinified in stainless steel tanks and big barrels, 12.5% vol. Typical Riesling notes with white and yellow stone fruit and a suggestion of petrol, good freshness, medium bodied, dry but with a sweet touch on the long finish. Not much evolution since March 2021, primary and already very enjoyable though not very complex yet (90+), will profit from an additional couple of years in the cellar.

Nice golden color, a slight smokiness on nose and good stone fruit flavors with a tiny hint of sugar on finish. Maybe lacks the layers of a more developed GG, however for the price this is very good.

Braunberger Riesling trocken J, 12.5% vol. PnP, good from the first minute. Nice primary Riesling nose with stone fruits and minerals, on the palate crisp and clean, dry, medium bodied and medium+ length with a nice bitter note, everything in a good balance. Already very good (90), but will profit from some more years in the cellar with a potential for 92 points, good price to quality relation.

If you go through the label images, you find that under "Fritz Haag Brauneberger Riesling trocken" two different wines are summarized here: The normal "Brauneberger trocken" and the "Brauneberger trocken J". So forget the averaging points and "Community score" here. This note is about the latter. Straw. Intense scents of crushed slate, smoke, flintstone and spice. Maybe sometimes yeasty notes are lurking through, but no SO2, and I'm quite sensible to this. The fruit is overwhelmed by these notes. Some …

Unscrewed this fresh filled bottle (VDP Ortswein/ village) to pair white meat, lot of sulphur leaking from the bottle, needs half an hour to settle and blow off, great stonefruit showing with mineralic hints, full of spice, very good mouthfeel, to raise the wine (Riesling) gourmet from the death! Recommended! *(*-***), around 88-90(+)
