This Magic Moment, Sweeter than Wine, Softer than a Summer's Nite; 7/29/2022-8/23/2022 (Alicante - España) : Snacking with birra Moretti. Open bottle for lunch. Decent cork in good condition. Deep yellow colour. Aromatically complex but precise with elegant notes of hawthorn flowers, orange blossom, white pears, pineapple yogourt, lead mineral powder or candied lemon rind. On the palate it is delicious, balance between an oily texture and a citric acidity. Very long stony finish. Mineral and citric aftertaste. Although the …

Complex nose of dried tropical fruits and waxy bruised apples. So much less fruit on the palate now than from previous bottles and most of that early freshness has given way to a complex, super dry, textured finish. This was not the most expressive of bottles, but it will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere from here.

This one is way much better both in terms of bouquet and palate comparing with a 1998 Domaine Michel Juillot Corton-Charlemagne whcih I tried 1 week ago. Golden color, bouquet of lily flower perfume, rich and ripe apple, stone fruit & dried mango. The palate is also very good, all about balance, complexity and length.

Riche, gras, beau boisé bien présent, bonne acidité pour balancer le tout.

Really nice and interesting white. Never had this varietal, but it was crisp with some body. A cross between a chardonnay and a sauvignon blanc. some tropical fruit notes and some white burgundy characteristics but with the body of a chardonnay (no oak). Went great with seafood. Worth the under $30 price for sure.

Lemon-gold with pear, melon, even some banana on the nose with evident creamy oak. Hints of fig and honeysuckle. Rich and creamy in palate giving the impression of a top New World Chardonnay or perhaps a Hermitage. Balanced by zesty acidity against generous alcohol and full body. Will evolve and keep for several years. Fantastic value.

My 16th Wedding Anniversary Dinner with Friends (Home) : Medium yellow-gold. Tropical fruits, toastyness, honeysuckle and nicely integrated creamy oak on the nose. Reminiscent of a top new world chard. Full-bodied, creamy, with rich fruit, balancing acidity and a long aftertaste. Alcohol is 15% but perceived as much lower.

Beautiful wine with generous use of oak but with impeccable balance and finesse, surprisingly more new world in style than France. On the nose aromas of oak in the form of vanilla, talk powder and sweet spice mingled with quince, peach, apple and pear aromas. Constantly changing in the glass at times it gave me the impression of a white Burgundy. Palate is medium to full bodied with quite a lot of extract balanced by medium to high acidity and …

Drank at Villa Eugenie, Hotel du Palais, Biarritz. Light color, high but not noticeable alcohol (15%), slightly fruity nose yet very dry (tres interestant!), sip all day long, a bit sour and bitter on the palate, fairly long lasting. Given the fancy hotel, the price is compelling when compared (nay, contrasted) with Burgundies and Bordeaux!!! Very nice at 12c. Warm after 2 hours works jolly well with the various cheeses, particularly Comte!

Light and bright yellow. Amazing nose, rocky minerality. This is like a young grand cru Burgundy. Almost there in quality and at a fraction of the price. Very nice texture which is at once round and friendly and powerful. Fresh sea breeze, iodine and exotic, refreshingly bitter, fruit. Long aftertaste. 90% of the quality at the tenth of the price. What a find!
