One of the better Rhone reds we've had recently. Spicy with black fruit and in a perfect drinking window. Don't see long-term aging with this. Went well with uncured ham and usual sides (a 2nd Thanksgiving, I guess). Do give it a little breathing so as to let it show you its best.

I didn't like it as much as the first bottle. This bottle smelled a bit like fish when it was first opened (and we weren't eating fish). It got better but...

Red cherry, blueberry, and raspberry jam. Warm, medium oak. Structure is strong, perhaps too dominant. Lighter, dry finish contrasts with the bolder nose and body. Good value to pair with a meal.

An 89 from WS Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Dark fruit, cherry. Medium+ bodied with smooth tannins. Acidity is there through a medium+ finish. Woke up a little with grilled lamb chops, though nothing mind blowing. Serious QPR with $13 at Total Wine. 👍

Dark raspberry fruit scents with a surprisingly bright, lively tone, a touch jammy but nicely pungent. Definite black licorice on the nose as well, and a cool mineral note that unfortunately blew off quickly. Palate has that same energetic raspberry with some blackberry jam and more licorice.
