The color is almost silver-gold if that can even be a color. No notice of green around the rim. Fig, lymon, white grapefruit, creamed corn, chalk, and smoke. With every sip the flavors become that much more focused. Vibrant, crisp, and balanced with a long and complete finish of basil and smoke. While this carries a nose of creamed corn, white grapefruit, flint and boxwood, the palate is a touch flabby and lacks the verve and cut of the Jean Claude Dagueneau (Berthiers) Pouilly Fumé. This seems to lack the attention of its 2012 sister. 13% alc. With goat cheeses and crusty bread. Recommended.

Light gold is the color with ever so light a tinge of green on the rim. The nose fills with scents of fig, lymon, white grapefruit, chalk, and smoke. Dancing on the tongue with exuberance, those flavors come closer into focus with every sip of the wine. Vibrant and crisp, the mouthfeel is long and complete. The finish is basil and smoke.
