A pretty good Pinot but didn’t compare to the other Pinot we drank at dinner with this one. Keep this as an everyday Pinot.

Medium fruits. Not light but not dark. This sets the bar for Russian River Pinots. I do not like tradition Pinot Noir so this is perfect for me.

More and more like syrup. Even waiting didn’t really soften it out. If you like big, frui, and jam you’ll like it.

94 points. Bigger bolder Pinot compared to the Paul lato. Very consistent BG Pinot, it delivers. More structure; more punch, more fruit. Still seductive but more in your face.

Needs a bit of time for it to open up somehow. Drinks more like a blend than a Pinot. Hugh is a big Pinot drinker. He called it the best Pinot he had ever drunk.

Good color, weight is heavy for a Pinot. Soft and round mouth feel, berries start to end. Not very dynamic but very enjoyable. Easy drinking.

Power and ripeness like no other Cali Pinot. Dark and deep ruby, opaque in the glass. Nose is packed with ripe mix of red and black fruits - cherries, forest strawberries, blackberries, smoke, chocolate and vanilla. Palate is full-bodied, extremely rich and round, taste as per above with addition of smoke. Truly juicy, vivid acidity, backbone tannic structure. Long, alco-dry and spicy finish. Not my style but interesting and well made for those preferring this style of PN. Nørres januarikalender …

Dark purple ruby colour. Milk chocolate and cherry jam aromas with evident alcohol on the nose. Palate echoes the nose with dried berry fruit and rubbery oak flavours and an oppressive and clumsy, alcoholic finish. 2/5

Deep ruby with a purple hue in color with moderate intensity. Cedar, smoke, cherry, black currant, red currant, strawberry violet, and black raspberry. High acid, medium plus tannins, medium body and moderate finish length.

This pinot is devoid of flavor. Tastes flat, no richness, no acidity, no tannins.

Dark fruit and different spices. Quite sweet but still with a decent balance. I liked it but must admit that I thought that this would have been a lot more powerful and dense. Which was a good thing. Could need a bit more time to show more balance and depth.

Very dark in the glass. Rich, luscious and silky smooth with a hint of pepper. Very ripe fruit. Typical for Belle Glos. Could use a little more structure, but it is pretty tasty.

Another tasty Belle Glos! The Dairyman is little on the sweet side for my preference, but still a tasty glass of vine ripened Calif juice

Similar to prior years but a bit more acidic. Could do with a couple more years of aging to reduce the acidity but an otherwise easy drinker.

This wine never gets old! Very dense in color with extracted flavors. Almost too fruit forward for the plank salmon we enjoyed with it, but still one of our favorite Pinot Noirs!

Usually Belle Glos most consistent pinot. This one drinks more like a cab than a pinot but still more enjoyable than the Las Alturas.

French oak, black cherry and a little gooseberry and hay on the nose. Rather full-bodied for a PN, wonderful balance of tannins and acidity, which produces a very smooth, medium plus palate with some charcuterie. Aftertaste is cola and clove.

More restrained zin than the other southern bottlings. Very good, but missed some of the sun kissed calif punch. More burdgundian in style.

I like this wine and enjoyed drinking it. It’s a crowd pleaser, but unfortunately we opened this bottle after an Aubert Pinot Noir. The Belle Glos would have been delightful on its own, but paled in comparison to the prior wine.

I get it’s not wise to judge a pinot after a big wine like continuum but man is this odd. We were given a bottle after leaving a friends dinner and he warned us it was for dessert. I’ve seen the bright red wax many times at restaurants and have seen people eat steaks with it so we thought might as well give it a go? My friend was right. It smells like a blueberry reduction sauce with lots of …

There is a full, heady nose that is intoxicating and presents with grapes, cherries and dark fruits. The package matches the nose almost perfectly, enters the mouth with a full feel and silky sweetness and tartness that delights all the senses. Drinks like a cab! Perfectly paired with Artichoke ricotta a tortellini, with alfredo and fresh broccoli drizzled with dark truffle oil. OMG! Also wonderful with bread-and-butter to finish the meal.

Menu decanted. Black cherry, vanilla, strawberry and smoke on the sweet, rich nose. Very smooth, dry, smoky, full bodied palate. Firm, full tannins on the medium long finish. Very rich and quaffable. Almost a baby Cabernet. Not my style of Pinot, but better than I expected. Very much a Wagner Family wine (think Caymus).

Clear medium ruby/purple; clean medium plus nose of stewed cherries and musty forest floor; dry; medium plus acidity; medium tannins; high alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavour intensity; pfn with juicy, confected cherries dominating; medium plus finish; drink now; an earthy, cherry fruit bomb with balanced acidity - easy drinking, crowd pleasing; bad value
