More full bodied fruit than the Toscana Rosso, and the bigger fruit is fully charming - lots of bramble and blackberry, almost a secret sweetness to it on the nose. Wild berry. Palate still has good structure in acidity and tannin, the whole experience is really rather darn delicious. Superior in quality. Superior in value if at $30. Anything less is a heck of a deal.

Christmas Eve Wine & Boardgames (Burwood) : Unfortunately, did not get a chance to write a full review. But the general consensus was this was a great everyday drinking wine which we paired with pizza. Tannins a little firm but fairly well balanced, red fruit raspberries, some tea notes. The bottle was gone before we knew it.

Pas de notes précises, mais on a ici un beau Sangiovese, simple, sans complication, très bien fait, avec un beau nez fruité et profond, quand même complexe à ce prix, la bouche est sur l’acidité, avec une trame tannique lui donnant une belle structure, mais sans astringence, et assez de fruit pour ne pas être étriqué. Belle découverte pour un petit régulier pour mes pâtes et ma pizza.

My last and best bottle. Most of my experience with Caparzo has been with their Brunello. This 4yo Rosso keeps up with its older brother. Same smoothness and finesse with more Chianti-like tannin/acidity. I recommend spending a bit more for the Brunello😀. 3.7 stars

Un vin honnête, dans le sens noble du terme. C'est-à-dire fait de manière intègre et techniquement irréprochable. Assez fermé au départ, il devient plus loquace avec un peu d'aération. Pas terriblement excitant comme bouteille, mais bien typé et vendu à prix raisonnable.

Subtle but pretty nose. Mouthfeel is fairly robust with appealing ripe red fruits and spices with a creamy back end. Finish has a great balance of moutwatering and tannic structure. This is really good.

This is nice. Fresh raspberries, pomegranate, and cherries dipped in caramel on the nose. Palate starts with gentle, intriguing strawberries and then darker candied fruit. Finish starts with bright fruit acidity, then transition to dusty tannins with residue of granite and berries.

Fruit forward, young red fruits. Smooth mouthfeel. Slight rough edge but gets better with air. Paired well with veal and cheese cannelloni. Good for the price.
