Bravo.Solares nailed it. Too bad I hadn't read it before buying. I can't believe I paid $50 for this weak wine. Still we sort of enjoyed it and appreciate the low alcohol level (12%), but will not buy again at this price. Maybe it was just this vintage?

Delicious nose, but a rather underwhelming palate. Delicate aromatics; rose petals, red fruit, turned dirt and some spices on the nose. The palate is a bit thin and watery, and lacking earthiness and acidity - just a tiny little bit of red fruit and a hint of spices are detectable. Rather poor QPR to be honest, so I would not buy again. Much better options in the same price range, and even at a lower price point.

I thought this was from CA as it was pretty big and fruity. I was …

PnP'd, non blind. I've been drinking down my '06 Oregon (warm vintage) Pinots. I came across this from my cellar(14.7 alcohol) and was surprised by how well it's held up and how good it actually is. I've been chowing down fresh, big, crisp, juicy NorthWest black cherries all day long and this wine has all that, along with a little leather and red/sour, pie cherry too, which I know about, having grown-up in UpState New York (big on agriculture, Bausch/Lomb,Kodak, …
