golden, strong colour with good number of quite fast bubbles. nose: loads of ripe apples; bread crust; rather robust. taste: medium (+) acidity, ripe pear, apples, lemon; creamy; bit sweeter finish but not heavy. Excellent.

Tasted this at the winery and bought a bottle for $20 which we drank in France. This is their base wine made in the house style. 80% Pinot Meunier and 10% each of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This bottle was a blend of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages. This had a fine bead. Slight earthiness on the bottle poured at the winery. Notes of pear, tart green apples, slate and grass. A: A deep gold, almost like label N: Golden delicious and cox's apples. Wood lacquer and little band aid at the end. P: Soft apples - ripe. Theres that teak oil and slight medicinal flavor.
