Like the previous bottle this cork came out particle by particle, just completely macerated. The wine is nowhere near as nice as the one from last year. This tastes rustic to the point of tasting dirty. Fruit is stripped down and very slightly oxidized. Very mushroomy. I am on the fence regarding drinking or dumping this one. Oh well.

First experience with a Somontano. The cork came out in a 1000 pieces. I have never encountered anything like it, including pre-War Bordeaux and ancient madeira. Crazy. Not sure where they got those corks! It was like they put it in with glue. Wine, however, was great once filtered. Cleanly made, nice dark cherry and tobacco, typical tempranillo profile. Very nice herbaceousness to the wine. Solid acid finish. Not one to hang on to but really solid at the moment.

Found this one in the cellar and didn't really have any recollection of any details or context around it, or have any expectations, other bottles, or prior experience, but it's apparently a blend of Tempranillo (50%), Cabernet (20%), Merlot (20%), Parraleta (5%) and Moristel (5%). Cork snapped, but the filtered wine in the decanter seems ok, if certainly aged, perhaps understandably and having no correlation there. Medium (+) garnet to tawny color. Aromas of dark fruits, graphite, leather, dirty root …

A bit too austere and uninteresting to me ... possibly flawed as the cork was damaged and the flavor and aromatic profile were closed up.

They say that is an Atlantic wine (moreover, saltier), well structured, of a great taste and aromatic completeness. Dicen que es un vino Atlántico (más bien saladito), bien estructurado, de una gran rotundidad aromática y gustativa.
