Decanted >1 hour. It has been 3 years since last tasting this vintage. Wine is more mature and very balanced. Still easy drinking and in a good window right now.

This is still as clumsy as hell and out of balance a bit but showing weird extractive promise from 2011. Integrating for sure but not home yet. A really unique wine worth watching. If this patches together the winemaker is a genius or really lucky.

Dark crimson in the glass, still a lot of life left in this medium plus bodied bottling.

Short decant. Recipe red fruit, spice and a hint of mushroom on the nose. Nice balance n the mouth with nice juice, cherry cola and something I can’t describe. Easy drinking but there are better Ayoub’s than this one.

Cherry cola, medium acidity, pleasant finish. Easy to drink but nothing distinguishing. I did not have an OMG moment like I do with most Ayoub wines but still very good.

Interesting wine. Strong cherry on the nose, and a tart/acidic finish. Still plenty of (red) fruit, but very little nuance or secondary flavors you get from an Oregon pinot.

Drank over three days. This is the least evolved Ayoub I've tasted. Very young bright red fruit on the palate along with clay soil but not at all integrated. I won't rate this as I believe it needs more time in bottle for a fair showing.

Good wine for 2011 vintage which is otherwise not so great in oregon. Drink now if you have not

Drinking quite nicely. Still a bit young. Give next bottle two years or more.

SO'd for three hours. A powerful nose of forest floor and faint fruit. In the mouth, there is dark fruit but it is quickly overtaken by gripping tannins. It improved a little over four hours, but the fruit never emerged from behind the tannins. Not sure they ever will, but I have five more bottles to investigate over time

A clear example of a 2011 Oregon pinot- very elegant and restrained; limited fruit, modest fine. Nice wine with food; somewhat limited alone.

Sappy and super tart blueberry, with hints of blood and white pepper before a lactic and almost buttermilk tangy and river rock finish. If you believe in the Parker notations of depth of fruit this would be it as the palate is super dense, intense, and fruit forward palate finds a certain savory complexity to it before a tremendous acid finish. The words teeth staining come to mind. Unless you count the monolithic fruit, it's otherwise balanced and certainly approachable …

Really tart and intense. Needs at least 5 years. DNPIM yet.

Not yet ready. Really austere right now. Maybe in another 2-3yrs.
