Fruit is fading, still some currants and berries. Transitions to earth and mishrooms.

Past prime. Fruit dried out some but nice leather notes. Still enjoyable.

Strawberry, mineral, tart, light, can't believe it held on one more year!

Raspberry and strawberry with leather undertones. Definitely peaking now so drink up.

Very nice, maybe a little thin today. I get the feeling this peaked earlier this year, so drink them up today.

Light purple color. Strong forward nose of cherries and earth. Medium body. Flavors of dark fruits, earth, tobacco, smoke. Tannins well balanced, easy drinking. Short finish. This has aged gracefully and is still drinking well.

One of my favorites - Now getting past prime. Nose is good with bright cherry and earth. The mouthfeel is lacking and the fruit is not as present as a year ago. Two more bottles and these will be consumed this summer.

Brought to a friends, twisted and poured, didn't take detailed notes. Black cherry, earthy, nice balance with great mouth feel.

Tasted the Cowhouse over a year ago and enjoyed it enough to purchase a bottle. This time around first few tastes were very acidic, when the acid mellowed there was a good deal of oak. Disjointed and disappointing but worked with a triple cream.

Willamette Valley - Tasted at winery : Plums, earth, mushrooms. Fruity, forward berry and cherry flavors. Fresh, balanced and structured. Can age a little more for tannins to resolve. A classic style Oregon Pinot Noir.

rich beautiful color. Complex nose. Tobacco, clove, basil, balsamic, light finish. Very 'Anthony'.

Disappointing. I thought perhaps I had a bad bottle the first time, but this is my third of the 2007 and they have all been consistent. The 2006 and 2008 Cowhouse weren't exceptional for me either but drinkable. Seems this particular vintage is off the deep end. Light red color, almost a rose in appearance. Nose is tight even after some decanter time. Strawberries with smoke notes and an odd almost acrid overtone I can't put words to. Weak strawberry …

Nice drinking pinot. Nose of a red cherry, but taste has more of a black cherry feel with a smooth finish.

The Oregon Wine Trail with Dave and Cathy; 5/9/2011-5/10/2011 (Dundee, Oregon) : Lighter in color than the other Argyle PN we tasted and muted nose. The attack and mid palate are completely missing but finishes with a huge cherry jolly rancher showing. Not bad just unusual showing with a "Fruit backward" effort.

A rare disapointment for Argyle. It tastes like Oregon Pinot fom fifteen years ago, pretty fruit, but watery and with disjointed secondary characteristics. Burnt cherries, smoke and mushrooms. Good texture, short finish.

Tart cherry fruit.Vanilla and red fruit on the nose. I think this wine is a product of the '07 vintage with some watered down flavors and lacking complexity.
