Tatomer Riesling Selektion Viticole

Didn't love this Riesling…sorry Brian. :(

Marshmallows and sour apple jolly ranchers (no joke). Pretty long finish.

marshmallow, gravel, and lemon lime citrus notes on the nose. medium bodied and viscous with medium acidity. more lemon lime with a grapefruit rind bitterness on the finish. fairly mineral. bone dry. much better an hour open and warmed from refrigerator temp. i'll check in on the next bottle in a couple years, though i'm skeptical of how much complexity this will develop.

Medium lemon color. Probably served a bit too cold but as the wine warmed up, the nose showed explosive tropical and citrus fruit, white blossom, some crushed powdery rocks. Similar flavors on the palate with lime and ripe peach. Great acidity, ripe fruit profile and rounded mouthfeel but still crisp and dry. This is really spectacular Riesling and probably the best if not one of the best I have had from California.
