Marchand & Tawse / Pascal Marchand Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots

Un premier nez de poussière suivit de réglisse rouge, d'épices...poivre blanc et cannelle...très beau fruit ! Un vin fruité, souple, texturé, ample...avec un bel équilibre. Saveurs de fruits mûrs et un peu vanillé. Longue finale savoureuse. Prêt à boire...très bon !

Corked. Although not severely, The fruit is very muted.

Still some wood showing, adding to the complexity and intrigue of the bouquet. Fruit is fresh, and this is firm and lovely today.

Coming together now. Keeps improving with air. Very Suchots. Very fine.

@Fred_Lund: Suchots - Grand Cru soil, 1er Cru/village situation. This is a typical example; spicy, tart and fine.

Deep and darkly intense pinot with an equally intense nose of dark cherry, dark earth, dark wood. Dark, it shows backward with perhaps a plum fruit on the palate and fine peppery/spice notes. Very soft tannins and a round mouthfeel with very nice lengthy finish, maybe into the next day. This is a powerful wine that delighted.
