Was moving some of my drinkers into a newly acquired cellar this morning and found this, did not know this was a CF blend and was quite surprised reading the label. Actually not even sure how I got this bottle. Nose of sassafras and raspberries. Palate is fully resolved. Fruits drying a bit and alcohol showing through. Hints of soy, cedar and worn leather. Balance a bit out of whack and hallow in the middle. Not sure what to expect …

Mainly Cab Franc. Dark and inky. Beautifully aromatic. Ripe black fruit, licorice and leather. My only complaint is that this is a little flabby on the finish.

This was drop dead gorgeous. Great fruit structure with velvety smooth tannins, and a long, drastic finish. I was very surprised just how great this bottle was. Drinking beautiful now, but will age gracefully for years and years. A knockout. 93+

Last bottle consumed, not quite up to the par of previous bottles, likely suffering from some bottle shock after having been transported to Finland and opened up in a very short time period with friends at a great dinner. Still very very good, though, just an outstanding high elevation Napa cab franc / cab blend, clearly improving with cellaring with at least 5 - 10 additional cellaring potential left, this vintage an 83% cab franc / 17% cab blend. Inky …

Absolutely superb high elevation Napa cab franc / cab blend, improving with cellaring, 83% cab franc / 17% cab blend enjoyed earlier double decanted tonight with Kim and wine buddy neighborbill. Inky black, very smooth with excellent structure and balanced tannins, big and bold and very fruit-forward - a powerhouse red blend. Big nose, very fruit-forward with additional notes of leather, cassis, dark cherries and moccha. Primary flavors included classic Napa cassis, leather, dark cherry, tar, smoke and black pepper …

Very good high elevation Napa cab franc / cab blend, clearly improving with cellaring, 83% cab franc / 17% cab blend enjoyed earlier tonight with our unofficial dinner club at M5 in Charlotte NC. Almost inky black, surprisingly smooth with excellent structure, big and bold and very fruit-forward - a real powerhouse of a red blend. Too expensive to be a good QPR. Big nose, very fruit-forward with additional notes of leather, cassis, dark cherries and tobacco. Primary flavors included …

An outstanding high elevation Napa 83% cab franc / 17% cab blend enjoyed last night at an Oakville Ranch tasting at the Hickory Wine Shoppe in Hickory NC. Almost inky black, surprisingly smooth with excellent structure for such a young vintage, big and bold and very fruit-forward - a real powerhouse of a red blend. Too expensive to be a good QPR but both Kim and I really liked this and bought several bottles. Big nose, very fruit-forward with additional …
