Great color. Fragrant nose, with an abundance of black fruit including black cherry, black currant and just a touch of a prune component. Nice mouthfeel, hits first with the black cherry and some nice acidity, transitions to a rich mocha and kirsch with some oak. Finishes with some more oak, creaminess and firm but smooth tannins. Finish goes on for a while. Very nice wine.

Served at the Appellation St. Helena Tasting. Quick notes: soft mouth filling fruit; would make a good food wine. Good.
