Dark ruby color. Still relatively higher tannin given the vintage. Long aftertaste in mouth. Dark chocolate with bit of cherry and leather on the nose. Good for foggy autumn afternoon😁.

Very earthy. I even thought for moment it was corked, but opened a second bottle and taste was the same. Prunes, some fruit still. Needs drinking now.

very light color for a Sangiovese wine, almost reminded me of a Bourgogne, time to drink this

Cherry notes on the nose and palate. Reasonable acidity with a firm base of tannins. Good table wine.

Youthful, tart cherry notes. Some strawberry cordial, and maybe just a whiff of chocolate. Juicy fruit from front to back, with very lively acidity on the mid-palate. Then some pretty serious drying tannins just before the return of the juicy cherry fruit. This is very nice and super value at less than $20 a pop.

Another great vintage of this wine - way better than many so called Brunellos. The nose has fermented cherry skin with a touch of vanilla and leather. Distinct but harmonic tannins, fresh and clear acidity. On the palate deep cherries, a hint of licorice and anice into a medium+ clean aftertaste. Very recommendable.

Decanted for 1h. Translucent purple-garnet. A: Plums, cherries, earth, a bit of tar and eucalyptus. P: More plums and black cherries, hint of eucalyptus, earth, tanins and some some tar. F: Bitter herbs, tar mingled with fruit. Nicely proportioned and balanced.

Gift from a friend. Opened at 1 in the afternoon to slow ox and decanted 1.5 hours before dinner. Tart cherry, cherry, cranberry and touch of pine on the nose. On palate, medium+ body, medium+ acidity, cherry, tarty cherry flavor profile and long finish. Improved with time. Very enjoyable and would buy again. 91+ have enjoyed the '10/'11 and '12 of this Rosso and all have been very good and re-buys.

Very good rosso. Allowed to open up in the bottle for about 4 hours and was much more fruit forward after getting air. Still good upon opening nonetheless. Ripe cherries, leather, oak and light spice. Chalky tannins and nice acidity. Held up perfectly with a fillet. Nice deep red color with slightly burnt edges. Glad I have more of this.

Ännu lite bättre än förra gången. Ljuvlig röd frukt, len och sval, med bra drag i syrorna. Varför köpte man inte fler...

Medium, limpid red. Red fruit, lively medium body, caramel, fairly long, delicate slightly alcoholic finish. Atypical and good. Next day the last glass shows some of that Montalcino leather and savoury. Either way, it's good.

Nice ruby color. Either decant or let it sit after corking for at least an hour but the longer it is open, the more notes appear. Initially it seemed tight. Ripe red fruit on nose. You smell wood. High alcohol so my guess is it might continue to age. I may have opened a little too soon but reading other reviews made me think it might be time. On the palate, taste a lot of pepper. Would say that predominates. …

First bottle was corked. Second bottle: Very concentrated ruby-red and clear in the glass. The nose is where this one scored points with me. Aromas of cocoa, Asian spice, and red fruit. Really nice. The palate was primarily red-fruit with some anise and mint. Firm, acidic with a long sour spice finish. Overall, a remarkably complex, balanced and structured wine, given its price.

This was really a nice wine for under $20. I let it decant for a few hours. Was tart and tight when I opened it, but after a few hours, it was very nice. Deep red cherry, leather, spice, nice finish. Had with pizza and the acidity cut though the ham and bacon on the pizza. I'll be buying more to cellar.

My favorite wine of the night at a tasting. Complex earthy nose with notes of tar and sandalwood, lush fruit, balanced, and a long finish.

Delicious. Fresh, fragrant, bursting with fruit. Fairly deep color, contrary to what one might expect. Cherry, berry tones. Great QPR.

Our second bottle, which was better than the first (we had this at Scarpetta, too). Red/dark red fruit. Chalky tannins, but smooth at the same time. We had it with Mexican food, and it did just fine. Good buy.

Coy on the nose but there was some cherry and cinnamon. Refreshing and inviting palate with red fruits like cherry (kool aid) and faint strawberry cough drops. On the second day the tannic structure emerged to ensure proper balance. Some good leathery notes show towards the finish along with that good Sangiovese acidity.

Light and fruity. Not for normal "chianti type" foods. Went well with garlicky chicken vusivio. Would not hold up to tomato gravy or hearty dishes.

Lovely wine. Garnet color with deep dark center, clearing edges. Nose cherry-lavender. Palate reminiscent of sweet tart candy, cherry, lead and smoky, silky smooth finish, long and luscious.

Drank with "everything" pizza with the family on Saturday night. My son and I both enjoyed the wine a lot, although we weren't analyzing it heavily -- we were just having a great time drinking it. The fruit was prominent but there was still good structure with fairly subdued tannins. All in all, a very good "Baby Brunello".
