Ashbrook Estate, Chardonnay, Margaret River

Shared with YSL friends. Nicely aged with clear gold / aged colour. Drank beautifully, with some buttery characteristics. About to peak. Nice depth on the palate.

2017 was a slightly cooler vintage in Margaret River, thus the wine offers cooler fruit and more acidity than say, 2016. I have gulped down a few pallets of this wine over the last decade or so, since moving to balmy Singapore. The nose shows lots of citrus with some creamy, nutty oak.
