Calluna Vineyards Estate Blanc

Notes of lemongrass and grapefruit. Well balanced, and the Semilion softens the edges perfectly.

Lots of Citrus on the nose, nice straw colored, nice and crisp not overly acidic but somewhat balanced, hints of apple on the pallet.

The Semillion was a nice addition, moderating the typical Sauvignon blanc acid but still allowed the crisp apple and grapefruit notes.

Wow is that the honey wax bomb. And really thickly texture on the palate. Not my thing. Maybe a shipping issue? Erin finds it very appealing. I do not.

Beautiful pale yellow medium body wine. Minimum nose but a very nice melody of lemon and grass fruits. Nice balanced complex finish. Caution, give this wine time to open because it is unimpressive and tart before it expands.

On the nose a crisp, nice balance of dry grassy sauvignon and figgy semillon, with hints of lime. Generous fruit on the palate with lively backing of acid on the finish. Classy and classic.

Very good interesting blend. Traditional of France but made here in Sonoma. Bright with a nice dose of acidity. First drank with no food Then paired with scallops and a light pasta

Pale lemon color. Aromatics and flavors of melon & gooseberry fruit, slate, white pepper, fresh herbs and acacia. Densely layered palate, pleasing, complex, a bit reticent at first that continues to brighten with air. Roundly textured with ample acid, succulent flavors, and a bit of pithiness on the back end that rounds out with air. Finishes with savory complexity. Needs a little time to round out and open up. Hold.

Calluna Vineyards Visit : Aromatics of lemon creme & grapefruit, white flowers and hints of pepper. Crisp and round palate with hints of melon & quince along with white pepper and spices. Well-balanced acidity, good depth on the finish. Very nice.

Subtle nose. Initial tastes of tropical fruits & minerals. In the last 2 of 5 pours it turned more minerally and less fruity. Interesting blend.
