Sangiovese at Snooth (Snooth, New York, NY) : Deep dark cherry. Clobbered me over the head with wood, but fortunately it tastes much better than it smells. nice, astringent, medium to long finish, dark sweet chocolate

Much the same flavor profile of the 2004, but you could tell that the extra year of bottle age for the 2004 made it much more ready to go right when the cork was popped. The 2005 took almost 3 hours to really open up and come up to where the 04 is. This is still one of the best producers of QPR wines coming out of the central valley in CA that I have come across.
