Flowers, herbs, tobacco leaf and red currants with a touch of cocoa on the nose and palate. The wine is fresh, medium-bodied, bright and crisp, with an herbal, minty, edge to the red fruits on the palate and in the soft, round, finish. Drink from 2023-2037.

Medium-bodied, bright and crisp, with an herbal, minty, savory accent to the red fruits on the nose and palate. The chewy finish is spicy and savory in the peppery endnotes. 87-89

Tasted at Auberge Etchegorry Paris. Dark garnet color medium bodied, complex and forward blackberry, plum and black cherry fruits with notes of tobacco, earth and herbs with firm tangy tannins on a lingering finish. A nice value QPR (Quality Price Ratio) wine. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2019/05/auberge-etchegorry-authentic-french.html

It seems as though U.S. wineries strive to rid their wines of that green pepper on the nose, but I am not entirely sure why, as I feel it aids in the pairing of food. There is also a host of other sensations: black pepper, …
