An Australian Shiraz blend (Shiraz 85%, CS 10%, 2,5% Viognier, 2,5% Grenache) to try. Oak, lots of various dark berries, licorice, vaguely chocolate. (#630)

Spicy nose, black currant on the palate, overwhelming alcohol on the finish. Is a little tight and lacking the complexity that i was hoping for. Could probably benefit from a couple years but it seems promising. I was a little skeptical when the wine shop owner insisted it would be good to drink now.
