Collestefano Colli Maceratesi Ribona

As a regular and enthusiastic fan of the Verdicchio who knows nothing about Ribona I didn't know what to expect from this. Pleased to note a definite family resemblance: the racy twang is there, along with the citrus-y fruit, though this might be a touch more floral on the nose. Next time I'd like to compare the two wines side by side. This was good enough to have me wondering which one I'd prefer.

I liked this bottle more than the last couple. Sort of Verdicchio-like with the hard lemon candy but this is more tart.

Though not very complex, this is very likable, as Bob said. I thought it seemed like a cross between a Pinot Grigio and Verdicchio. Perhaps some unripe peach as it warmed.

My first time trying this particular wine by Collestefano - not sure if this is new to them or just newly imported. Very likable, with lemony notes on the palate. I can’t say that I like it better than their Verdicchio, but this is quite nice. A little short on the finish, but other than that, very doable on a Wednesday night.
