Moorilla Pinot Noir Praxis

Tasted at the Cellar Door 18 Jan 2015: Sweet nose of red cherries and a little spice. Smooth, light bodied palate with red berry and cherry flavours. Not much complexity, minimal tannins and length. Almost a nouveau style. Clearly the "little brother" to the 2012 Muse (a much better wine).

Moncur Cellars Pinot Noir (Bistro Moncur, Sydney) : Aromas of raspberry, earth, muted spice and a very slight leathery quality. In the mouth the wine is juicy and spiced but lacks fruit on the palate - medium minus intensity flavours of raspberry then a tongue coating furriness but this light fruitiness persists surprisingly long. Not for me.
