Highly aromatic nose of blackberry, backing spice, licorice and cedar. This is a full bodied Cab with rich and juicy dark berries, ripe tannins and a smooth finish with notes of chocolate.

Yes an 88 but still I like this Cab, it is dense and brash - if you like that you will love the value. Nice tannins, great California Cab nose, with a finish that is a bit tart, that is one of the key reasons for the 88. Maybe a few years of cellaring will mellow that finish. I have a half case, hoping for that.

The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Slow. Aromas of plum and earth. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Medium. Not very good. I would not buy again.

This has a little dose of spice and more concentration than the Cab Franc; black tea notes present with blackberry and even a touch of chocolate; supple, medium plus tannins; good, fairly straight value driven Napa cab.
