Christmas family dinner 2018: 1. NV Maxim's Champagne Cuvée Années Folles [2 bottles] 89 points Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes (blanc de noirs). A tad darker than your usual Champagne, intense bubbles. Floral notes, caramelized bread, some honey as well. Very nice indeed! 2. 2017 Weingut Robert Weil Cuvée 25 Trocken Rheingau [2 magnums] 87 points Famous German Riesling producer. 8.3 g/l RS and 7.9 g/l acidity. I seem to be the only one on CT drinking this Champagne. Try it, it is really well done and a bit more complex than your typical Moet. Same notes as in October 2017, no ageing detected.

50% deal at Hawesko, so I ordered a few bottles. Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes (blanc de noirs). A tad darker than your usual Champagne, intense bubbles. Floral notes, caramelized bread, some honey as well. Very nice indeed!
