Evohé (Bodegas Leceranas) Garnacha Viñas Viejas

We really like garnacha/garnacha-mixes, and this is a nice one at this price point. A nice bouquet of fruit, bold acid and mouthfeel, lingering fruit (especially dark cherry) finish. Might be a little high on the alcohol, but not overly excessive.

The wine looks Purple colored. The legs are Medium. The body is Medium. The wine has Polished texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Nice fruity Grenache. Strong fruit nose with medium body and subtle tannins. Went great with BBQ brisket.

92 points guia peñin for great value... I guess they were drunk when they rated it or it is less then 1 Euro in Spain. An artificial layer of vainilla and coconut covers a rather acid cheap mass production low end stuff. Even the color is artificial, somehow purple. Nothing good to say about it, besides it is cheap. Serve to guests who usually drink flavoured beer and pair with white chocolate.

Raisins. Best with food. Light for any red. Good with spicy, walnuts.

Rasiny fruit with some mint characteristics. Palate is the same, raisiny, then with some acid, simple, structured back end. Not bad for $8. Could be looser and brighter. Fairly darkly fruited.
