Popped and poured. Aroma of white fruit and lichee. Complex flavors of white fruit, spice, minerals. Pleasantly bitter finish. Restrained, subtle, and unmistakably gewurztraminer. Probably the best domestic version of this variety that I've had.

Taste of Humboldt - Briceland Wines (My Place - Washington, DC) : Bursting tropical aromatics of pineapple, kumquat, lychee, baby’s breath, dandelion. Dry and lovely waxy texture on the palate with bright acidity. Lots of floral-herbal complexity, honey, waxy notes, all blending nicely with the kumquat, white peach, apricot fruit. Lovely, vibrant stuff, super spicy and rich but dry, this is killer.

Pale yellow colored with a nose of white flowers with lychee and yellow orchard fruits playing supporting roles. The palate is dry and crisp with flavors of roses, grapefruit, spice and passion fruit. The finish seems to linger long after the swallow. 13.6%abv. Made from organic grapes. Paired nicely with Cantonese style steamed swordfish; I like this version better than most dry examples of the grape. Drink by 2020 to enjoy the fresh character of this wine.
