Tasty dark red berries and spice on the nose and silky palate with earthy notes on the moderate long finish.

Lovely golden color, very fine mousse. Quite austere nose with lots of limestone and a hint of lemon. Also quite austere on the palate, sharp acidity and almost a dusty savory note on the finish. Perhaps some more time in the bottle will help, but not giving a ton of pleasure at the moment.

DnP 55F; ruby; strawberry on decant; vibrant fresh mid-palate that eith time gathers a lovely sweetness with lingering pinote on finish, hint of pepper; excellent with pork tenderloin

PNP. Fresh cool crunchy red fruits, pepper, forest pine on the nose. the Palate was much more voluptuous with baked strawberry/raspberry pie and some white chocolate. Medium acid and finish. Young but approachable today will follow this glass over the next hour.

This was absolutely singing. Was strong over two nights but slightly better the first. Lots of berry fruit. Drink up.

Always one of my favorites from AV. Pop and pour, beautiful color. Modest nose. Impeccably balanced on the palate, nice acidity rounding out the fresh fruit. Long juicy finish. Many years ahead of it.

Pop and pour and enjoyed on its own. Deep rub color. Nose offers wisp of oak and red berries and spice. Some earth notes as well. Enjoyable. Perhaps lacks a bit of depth but good fruit and acidity to give the wine lift.

Another very poor performance for this wine. Bitter and astringent. Fortunately, the last one.

Pretty disappointing for the price point. The finish was definitely a bit awkward with a bit of a black licorice at the end (but not in a good way). Opened up after about an hour, but just not enough there to justify the price.

Love this Anderson Valley PN, but it needs another 5-10 in bottle.

Fruity and forward, but gets a little sharp on the finish. Still, seems to be one of the better bearwallow vintages.

Opened up my 2nd of 3 bottles of this wine, and this was flawed like the first bottle and most of the other 2018 Anderson Valley Pinots (Alicia) I've had from Rhys. Both bottles poured down the drain, along with several of the 2018 Alicia from the same vintage and AVA. Disappointing is a gross understatement.

Flawed, like several other bottles of Pinot from Rhys, especially from the Anderson Valley (Alicia and Bearwallow in 2018). Flawed rate was over 50% of a case of half bottles of 2018 Alicia Anderson Valley Pinot and this isn't a whole lot better. Extremely disappointing, and pricy wine. This should have never been released.

What is it with the Rhys/Alesia half bottles from 2018. Opened to a whiff of acetic acid. Then on the palate - oxidized stewed fruits. Second flawed half bottle from 2018. All purchased and delivered during cool Fall temperatures and stored in 55F cellar. [shrug!]

Color: medium ruby Nose: red fruit, just ripe. Lots of minerals and a definite wood and caramel presence. Spice box, earth. A little bit of licorice Palate: medium-high acidity, medium body, small amount of tannins. Some density to it. Red fruit and licorice and wood and earth. Cherry under spirit Finish: medium-long Early, early, early. Not touching the rest for 5 years. Style I would guess as very balanced and restrained, lots of delicate aromatics but a little overshadowed by …
