Beautiful oaked note but showing its age, no longer balanced and the beautiful aromatics have withered into something less appetizing

This is rich, certainly, too rich for AD, usually a Condrieu-lover, but this goes almost overboard in terms of exotic fruit. Layered, quite complkex, quite a lot of citrus-confit, but I liked it, it's not tired at alle, very fresh, has mineral notes a well. Could do with more cellartime. #Hesselet

Pop and pour. On the nose: tangerine, chamomile and stone. Fantastic aromatics. On the palate: loads of wet stone, iodine, white pepper, citrus oil. Excellent now...needed time.

Very fresh and delicious. All the fixers in terms of mango, exotic fruit, pineable citrus, drinking extemely well. Still very young. #curry

The Dr. Pepper to shake up my Cola habit. Condrieu is something different - thick, waxy texture, concentrated like mercury. Yellow canned peaches in syrup, apricot jam, starfruit, honey, and the most awesome orange liquor. Condrieu or Cointreau?

LKILPIO's note is spot on. Much more mineral in style for this house, and less fruit up front. Notes from Day 2 open; shows more fruit today than yesterday. On the nose: soft tangerine, stone, florals. On the palate: tangerine, stone, grapefruit oil, good acidity for condrieu, solid density, somewhat short finish.

Same as prior bottle - delicious. Still enough acidity to provide good balance. Floral nose, rich flavors, nice bit of an edge on the finish. Would say still have a few years to enjoy any remaining bottles.

A delicious Condrieu that is still going strong (from a cool cellar). Beautiful floral notes on the nose, while the rich flavors on the palate are supported by enough acidity to stay in balance. An example of the magic Viognier nearly exclusively attains in Condrieu - rich ripeness without excessive alcohol and harsh edges.

This Condrieu is a somewhat different from the norm of the appellation. It is clearly less fruity, intensive, oily and plush than I had expected, displaying fewer notes of tropical fruits than the Condrieus normally do. On the other hand, the wine is balanced, pleasant and supple on the palate, in spite of the low level of acidity. The wine is providing charming notes of white fruits and flowers. As a whole, this is a very nice wine.

French road trip, mainly Rhône valley; 9/4/2022-9/18/2022 : From open 75cl in a restaurant. A very plush Condrieu: quite reserved scent, high alcohol (14,5%), lowish perceived acidity, considerable fat and sweetness. The first sip is the best, before it tires the palate. 88-89P

Nice note by Apple below. Agree w it all. I’ll just add that I ordered it on the list at USS Nemo in Naples, because I knew it would hold up to their signature spicy miso Chilean Sea Bass, and it did. Few dry wines will, perhaps Olivier’s pinot gris or Muscat, but a tough match. This worked beautifully, because although it is not a thick or sweet viognier, it has enough texture and acidity to pair well with heat/spice …

2019 Domaine Yves Cuilleron Condrieu La Petite Côte was perfumed and mineral-laced. The wine was bottled under a TCA-free DIAM 10 cork that has relatively low permeability to oxygen. The youthful Viognier was clear and pale lemon in colour without any sediment. Aromas of lemon zest, quince and nectarine were accompanied by honeysuckle, jasmine and white pepper. The mouthfeel was dry and rather full-bodied, with medium level of balancing acidity. There were flavours of apricot, honey, ginger and crushed rock …

Very pretty, rich and varietal, although I feel this is missing a bit of structure (i.e. acid). Peach, dried apricot, sweet vanilla-laden florals, orange marmalade undertones, and a powerful accent of peppercorn which I quite liked.

Admittedly I’m not a big Condrieu guy. I typically find them low-acid and thus kind of ‘flat’, albeit with far better balance than some flabby new world whites. This has those issues: it doesn’t have the zip that I look for in my favorite whites. But this does have pure fruit and moderate complexity that make it a very nice change of pace. Very rich and floral. Enjoyable, if not great.

Still a good wine, but definetely past its peak. Fresh pear and flowers are receding and substittuted by a slightly bitter, petrol note.

Very rich, honeycomb and wax was the predominant flavor on the palate. Slight orange cream on the nose. but generally the aromatics were muted. Drank a little “hot” (alcoholic), but overall very nice. Less bright than when it was young (drank at vineyard in fall 2017).

From 375 - from the wine list at The Lawrence in Atlanta, GA. White floral nose. On the palate waxy full texture, honeycomb and orchard fruit with minerals on the finish. Quite tasty.

Les Gobeloteurs Wine Garden Party (Domaine Stéphane Ogier - Ampuis) : Brief note from memory, tasted earlier today. Intensely floral with peach and candied orange peel and honeycomb. Good energy throughout, but best to enjoy young while fruit remains this fresh and vibrant.

Flinty apple and citrus aromas. Dry and musky on the palate with lots of set stone over apple and white peach flavors. Somewhat austere. Good in a lean, food-friendly way.

Served blind Pale gold Light honeysuckle aromas and flavors, with a hint of golden apple and camomille Light acidity, bordering on a bit flabby, but with a nice big mouthfeel And the alcohol starts to peek through just a bit But otherwise this is a tasty Condrieu for near term enjoyment.

I think this wine is enjoyable but definitely past it's prime The nose is rich with fruits (peach) and homely and almonds, even some flowery character The disappointment starts in the mouth where it's flabby and lacks any sense of energy and tension

Medium golden. Nose is grapefruit, lanolin, beeswax, and almond. Palate much the same. Lacking acid and spine. Nice mouthfeel. This took about an hour to open up. Thinking other bottles may need some more time in the cellar.

Tasted blind. Very flowery, blooming springtime trees, I worry this might set off my allergies. Restrained, fresh and stony with a touch of floral bitterness on the finish. Big bodied, lowish acid, not waxy or stony enough for Marsanne/Rousanne. I'm pretty sure this is Condrieu.
