Glistens like a ruby jewel. Good fruit intensity, showing notes of raspberry and cherry. There's some aniseed and licorice too. It is rich and velvety in the mouth, gliding across the palate, delivering a flavour hit and then fanning out. Impeccable balance and so much energy. Length is superb.

So rich, dense and sappy yet light on its feet. Notes of spiced blood plum, freshly grated ginger and star anise. It is complex and full, moderate of structure and beautifully balanced. A wine of perfume and poise. 98-year-old-vines.
