Osvaldo Viberti Barbera d'Alba Superiore Mancine

I was looking for a wine to pair with a chicken lentil stew that had enough fruit and lushness to deal with the earthiness of the lentils. This was a fine choice. I go back and forth with this wine. Stylistically, it shows a bit more oak than I prefer. But based on this bottle, I'm thinking that it has the potential to integrate it over time. A very nice drink.
