2021 Decoy with some peeps at Blue Mountain. Aromas of cassis, oak, blueberry, and vanilla. Flavours were the same with some leather. meh

Slight oak, Pine, cardamom, black currant, dark cherry. The palate is on the lighter side for a Cabernet, easy drinkable, can be paired with bbq. Medium body with polished tannins, the finish is good.

Straightforward and serviceable. Can bust this out and count on it to be a good bottle. Purple in the glass with very little rim variation. Stained tears that run down slowly. Big aromas on the nose. Bramble, blackberry, hints of chocolate and vanilla. Alcohol heat Palate has big black fruit and vanilla components. Two dimensional flavors but does them both well.

We thought this was pretty good but overpriced; $18 at Costco. We'll likely try one more bottle but the qvp is off.

Flavor is... plain. Any hints of complexity are drowned out by the sharp alcoholic bite; this wine runs hot. Has a nice peppery finish though. Drinkable. edit: thought it would soften up after a day like most cabs, but it seemed to only get hotter. Any resemblance of complexity has faded.

Ok wine, but pretty ordinary, Decoy whites tasted recently were more distinguished, I do not feel this merits the modest premium over basic California red wines.

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, red currant and cherry. It tastes like cherry, red currant, raspberry, plum and clove. The body is light. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

It is what it is. Drank it over three days, and it worked. Wouldn't buy a case, but I also didn't mind having it in my cellar as a gift from someone.
