Hubert Lignier Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées

Tasted blind. Lean but elegant, strawberries, sour cherries and very fine tannins. Nice and will probably improve over the next 2-3 years.

Sweet reddish cherry fruit with good freshness, gets darker with air, plenty of meat and iron, lots of acid, not a lot in the midpalate, some fuzzy tannic structure. Better with food. Perhaps a bit surprisingly structured, but otherwise tastes exactly like you would expect a somewhat backward 07 village gevrey from a good producer to taste like.
