Domaine de l'Aigle à Deux Têtes Trousseau Côtes du Jura

(15,5/20) 100% Trousseau from a vineyard of a befriended farmer. Fermented in concrete tanks and aged in large old oak vats. Elegant and structured wine, mineral and energetic, good concentration. Medium intense aromas of cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, violet, toast, leather, black tea, black pepper, firestone, wet iron. Dry wine, high acidity, medium body, pronounced flavour intensity, medium+ length finish. Jura tasting @ Zoldering

Strawberries, wild strawberries, a touch of cranberry,leather, a touch of nougat in the nose. Fresh acidity, red fruits (cranberries, lingonberries), “no” tannins, leather a touch of milk chocolate. Improved since last time, could also be bottle variation.

Strawberries, lingonberries, milk chocolate (!), slightly funky (in a positive way) nose. High acidity, intensive taste with red fruit (lingonberries, red currant, raspberries), low tannins, a nice woody feeling in a rel long finish.

Light-bodied and eminently quaffable, with tons of strawberry flavors. 12% ABV.
