ZAP Trade Tasting. Very dusty nose of dark fruit with a touch of minerals, more of the same on the palate, tasty but touch simple, medium body and medium/long finish, $29 retail and I will pass.

Smooth right out of the bottle. Not overly fruity. Nor big and bold. Just a very good representation of a Zinfandel. Slight hint of tannins. Probably needs to be paired with a spicy food to bring it out the best.

Sunday at Ken's; 7/14/2013-7/15/2013 : I liked this Zin. It is an upfront, fruity Zin. Nothing serious here, but lots of good raspberry and black raspberry fruit. Some bramble quality to the nose. Easy to drink. Long finish. Nice full bodied texture. Very pleasant drinking.
