Very Good* No notes, simply enjoyable and classic Bourgogne and it represented a sharp buy at $20 USD. Nice on its own, the tannins are soft and fully integrated, the fruit is full, but not overt. Worked well with grilled chicken. * Don't let the '87' mislead you. I use the recommended CT scale, absolute basis, not inflated, not QPR-adjusted. An '87' is in the "Very Good" range of the scale. 13% abv

Good, but not a lot of stuffing or interest. Boring wine. But it's not bad by any stretch and was easy with food. 13% abv

Knew this was an entry level Burgundy, but still disappointing. Stewed prunes and other fruit with no redeeming qualities. It was not flawed or old, it just wasn't acceptable even with turkey leftovers. Shame on you K & L for selling garbage like this.

K&L Wines of Burgundy Tasting (K&L Wines, Redwood City, CA) : Aroma of stewed strawberries and raspberries, anise, compost, and a hint of smoke. Acid is slightly too much right now, overpowering the fruit, but once tannins kick in during the finish it improves.

K&L Burgundy tasting (Late Winter 2018) : More fruit forward nose than the previous wine. Macerated red fruit, a touch of animal funk; maybe needs a bit of age; much better acidity than the previous wine; a touch of wet leaf on the palate, but a hint of heat on the finish. Still, not so interesting.
