Kuentz-Bas Kuentz-Bas Riesling Rangen, France, Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru

Bright, light in colour. Nose is very much on the petrol, body is quite full, but the wine is certainly dry and quite elegant. Impressive for its age. From SF. #ÅretsRet

Clear golden yellow color. Aromas of petrol, minerals, limestone, yellow apples, honey - all signs of an old and well preserved Reisling. Silk smooth acids on the palette with hints of lemon, and yellow apples. Full bodied wine with a smooth texture and a long finish. Wish I had saved more bottles - it would have been nice to see them develop or die.

(Volcanic soil). Jim said "yum." Louise gets ash. Very full body. Petrol. Louise says it would go well with chocroute. Lots of structure. Hold for 10 - 15 years. Smoked salmon.
