Weingut Ullrichshof Maikammer Heiligenberg Riesling Auslese

I’m not a great amateur of sweet wines, but this is truly wonderful stuff. Seven years old, but a very youthful greenish-yellow color and an exotic and extremely dense nose with fragrances of tropical fruit, honey, apricot and pineapple. Gorgeous palate with rich botrytis-tones and lots of concentrated Riesling fruit; it has enough alcohol and plenty of acidity to keep it fresh and balanced. Finish lingers for a long time.
