Grampians Estate Shiraz Rutherford Sparkling

Grampians Shiraz Verticals - Seppelt and Mount Langi Ghiran Tasting (Sydney, Australia) : Crown seal. Quite a lifted nose with cherry cola, violets and some light earth. Nice savoury mouthfeel while still having a dose of sweet red fruit. The fruit sweetness isn't overpowering and I think this is a well balanced wine with good intensity and length. I haven't tried this sparkling Shiraz previously and I'm keen to give other vintages a go at some point.

Deep red with a purple tinge, the nose is saturated with dark plum, a touch of menthol and sweet vanillin oak. The palate has a superb structure of dark fruits, acid and oak with some spicy characters already evident.
