Retail $55. Exceedingly Heavy bottle (857g; 30.1oz). Paid $36 at Vivino. 75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay. Another stellar bottle. I don't know, maybe it's a conditioned response, but anytime I see "Grand Cru" on a bottle of champagne, I just *know* it is going to be *better*. That was certainly the case here once again. I got a case and a half of this stuff two years ago and apparently have seven bottles left. I need to find more! Outstanding. …

I bought six bottles initially of this wine from Vivino and I have to say that it has been one of the more consistent champagnes that we have had in a while. While I am not quite as over the moon as I was with the second bottle of this wine that I tried, this fourth bottle is pretty gangbusters, indeed. Pale straw in the glass with Granny Smith and Golden apple bursting through the nose along with a touch of caramel and fresh baked croissant. Yowza. The palate is bright, tart, ebullient, and, well, fantastic. Great fruit, appropriate tartness, tons of the autolytic, yeasty goodness, and a lengthy finish. Whoa. 93 Pts. www.thedrunkencyclist.com

PNP in Lucaris standard tasting glass: Pale golden to the eyes. Elegant nose of golden apples, biscuits, brioche and savoriness. Especially impressive on the palate - very nicely detailed and textured. Highly acidic but also seems to have substantial residual sugars that may or may not be of everyone's liking. Flavours of golden apples with a touch of herbaceous and gingery spice. High minerality detected towards the reasonably long finish where the wine seems to 'dance on the palate'.
