With only a half hour decant, this ruby colored wine was open and ready. A nose of blue fruit, violets and potpourri, this wine is well balanced with blueberries, forest litter and cooking spices across the palate. A bit more acidity helps towards a lingering finish. Leaves your mouth wanting more!

Consumed over 3 days (stored in Somm du Vin), note from day 3. Appearance: Clear, medium purple. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of layered fruit - red (raspberry), red/black (boysenberry) and black (currant), black olive, cooking spice, and garrigue with dark floral hints -violet. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium tannin, medium+ body, medium+ intensity, 14.4% abv with a long finish. This has great wine potential written all over it but this is too young and tight for my preferences. Wait a good year or two before imbibing and it will be worth the wait!
