Decanted for two hours this morning and then poured it back into the bottle. Consumer with elk burgers at home. Last bottle and best showing. Good nose and Bordeaux flavors. For me there is too much tartness to the wine. I paid less than $15 for this and at almost 15 years old I was satisfied. 89.5 :)

Still young. The tasting note below (cherry, mint, anise) is on point. Perhaps some dark fruit now as well.

Fairly simple and a little disappointing.

A solid bottle of cru bourgeois, still drinking beautifully. A bit of sediment, but would buy again.

Fin, områdetypisk vestbredde-Bdx som drikker fint nå. Ingen veldig kompleks vin, og noe kort, men bra billig-Bordeaux og god verdi på Polet.

Had at dinner with quick 20 minute decant. Already putting off some secondary earthy notes. Still bright cherry, menthol, and anise. Has a few more years to go until it oaks.

Very dark. When first uncorked somewhat green and unyielding. But fruit comes with air, and the wine opens and softens. Though labeled as a Haut Médoc, the website of the Meyre family <vignobles-meyre.com/vins-fiche-us-3.html>, which owns the estate, indicates the vines are within the Listrac appellation. Still needs time. Tasted again 11/22/16: Still rather hard-edged with fruit hesitant to come out. Somewhat short in the finish.

Fairly dark in the glass. Bright and open at this point. Strong, slightly tart, fruit balanced by integrated tannins and a little bitter bite on the finish.

PnP. Very dark red in the glass with translucent ruby rim. Nose of sweet blueberry, black fruit, eraser (what?), gauze, medicinal herbs. On the palate... whoa...salt. Tons of salinity, ripe sweet fruit. Silky mouthfeel. Finish of lingering salinity, sweet tannin. This is a bit of an odd duck but enjoyable for a cheap modern-styled bdx.

Great QPR. Blackberries, smoke, crushed rock. Should have bought more than a case at $15.
