Standard Meadery Hercules with Vanilla

Dumpling night (Chicago, IL) : The vanilla Hercules (and by that I mean the plain one, not this one) is far more up my speed -- why add something to a thing that is already perfect? The added vanilla accent here really detracts from the pure, strawberry, Smucker's jam quality of this.

A distinct vanilla aroma that if I'm to be really honest detracts from the overall precision and brightness of the strawberry. This isn't as fresh and bright as I remember the regular Hercules being last year; there's a little more cooked fruit flavour and some bitterness from the strawberry pips and possibly the vanilla too.
